Design Philosophy
The design of the inside of a home, office, school or any building should revolve around the people that frequent these places. Everyone should feel comfortable, that they belong and that every aspect of the design suits the purpose of the building and the structures filling the interior. A design should change the mood and mindset of every person in its own way, making their day better or changing the way they look at the world is as much a part of design as any other aspect. Frank Lloyd Wright was a man of exact precision, and I have taken many of his own design philosophies into consideration when contemplating my own designs.

Home is where the heart is. A quote I have heard and can only apply to my childhood home, the closest place to my heart. A home is a safe-zone, a place away from everything else. You know every inch of every corner, nook and cranny of this place. A childhood home that you imagined being a castle or a boat, a place where your imagination wandered forever. I included a picture of myself in my kitchen, which is my personal comfort zone, where I find my inner peace.
I see home from other perspectives when I used to go back to my mothers childhood home and watch her relive all of her memories as a child there. She remembers sliding down her massive stretching lawn on the homemade water slide her father brought out every year, she wanted me to relive all of her most memorable points in her life by bringing me back to this place she called home for many years. I think a place we can truly call home is one we destine to escape from during our years without realizing those were the years we will miss the most. It really is too bad that we don't know we are in the golden days until we've left them.
